Rita is a self-taught artist whose work centers around the timeless beauty of graphite, colored pencil, and pastel pencil artistry.  From the earliest days of childhood, a pencil has always been an extension of her hand (a tool for capturing emotion and connection of her subjects).

Inspired by the people and animals around her, Rita began creating portraits of family, friends, beloved pets and wildlife, developing a deep appreciation for realism and fine detail.  Through years of dedication, study, and inspiration from master pencil artists, her artistic voice evolved into one that celebrates both technical precision and soulful expression.
